Who Likes Basic Grey?

Who's ready for a RAK?

I have way too much stuff, especially Basic Grey papers. I won some limited edition BG stuff at the Scrap Etc Event. And just have collected way too much from recent monthly kits. Most of the BG is the new Blush line. I'm also adding some HS tape, AC ribbon, and some surprise goodies from Paper Source. So, leave me a comment telling me about your favorite city/country/place in the entire world. I will pick a winner on Friday.

Here is my take on the lastest Scrapjack. Whoop Whoop!

Oh and in case you were wondering. My favorite place in the entire world is Sevilla, Spain. The delicious food. The fabulous people. The sights. The smell of orange trees in the spring. The culture and history. The weather. The good looking Sevillanos. The sexy Spanish accent. Feria in April. Semana Santa. The shopping. The bull fights. All the beautiful parks. The list goes on. And on. Not a day goes by that I don't miss living there.
Ok, happy Tuesday! Don't forget...leave a comment!

Love Basic Grey, but would definitely trade it for a week at Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, NY.
I have been going there on family vacations since I was young. It is a slower pace of life. Located on a Lake with lots of green space, it is its own little community with lots of great events/entertainment/education in the summer.

Love that BG! And your scrapjack is awesome! :)

I think my favorite place in the world is Antibes, France. Or maybe my grandparents' farm in Gaston, Oregon.

Hmmm...I has a soft spot in my heart for Houston, TX. I know it's not glamorous like Brazil or Hawaii, but it's where I spent most of my Summers as a kid. Love the fast pace, downtown, mix of people. Just have it in my blood.

Really like your 'jack this week. Very witty take.

My favorite place is Italy - I spent two weeks there in the summer of 2005 with some girlfriends. It was a fantastic trip. We went to Rome, Tuscany (Montipulciano) Florence and Venice. I was amazed at the history, the food, the wine, the views, the people .... I could go on for days. It was a great way to spend our 40th birthdays that year !!! Can't wait to go back

I know this sounds corney but my favorite place in the world is my house in good ol Idaho. My babies are there my stuff is there, and honestly its the best place for me to be.

My favorite place in the world is at home. It is where my family is, my favorite belongings, my creative space, my resting space- it's all right here.
I'm young and have two young kiddos, so traveling is not something I have been able to do yet- but someday I will and maybe I will find a new favorite place to be. So for now, it's home sweet home for me!
Great question! And sweet loot!! :)

My absolute favorite place to be is anywhere warm (Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe...I seriously mean anywhere) on a cruise ship. The minute my foot touches the deck, all of my problems just seem to absolutely melt away. It's the most peaceful and yet excited feeling ever and I am completely in love with it.

Bonjour,

ça va?

Merci first for organizing such a rak!

My fave place is in Normandie, France, and it's the place where I live: Fontaine-L'Abbé.

Because we live near one of the greatest forest of France full of wild animals and beautiful landscapes still not wasted by the human beings.

My fav place right now is Palm Springs. Kinda funny since it's the desert & I shrivel up like a prune with no humidity! It's just gorgeous & you can go from desert to 3 feet of snow in no time.

My fave place in the entire world is Negril, Jamaica where I ate fish whole! It even had it's eyes (luckily, you don't eat that part!!!) It was grilled and delish! But I am finding a new appreciation for my home Saskatoon, SK Canada. We are an RCMP family and have moved WAY up North. I miss the mall, I miss my LSS, I miss my friends! An RAK would be so SWEET!!!

My favorite place in the world is the Iguazu Falls, located on the border of Argentina & Brazil. I never knew a place like that existed until I was there. You could hear the falls from miles away. The animals, the water, everything is so beautiful. It's a special place.

Wow fab layout. I feel really rude as I am leaving a comment but never checked out your blog before. It feels like it is just because you are doing a rak, but I linked up to here from the SIS Tuesday blogger thread and I always leave some loving for everyone who posted before me!!

Oxford, Englad. I explored the city during many weekend trips when I lived abroad in college. I love the history, the little alleys that open into the most amazing little hidden shops and pubs, and the people.
I live in NY now and keep a framed photo of one of my fave little streets displayed in my living room.

Fabulous RAK :o)

Thanks for the invite to comment! And BG is my FAVEfavefave stuff...

Okay - my most favorite place in the whole wide world is the Cedar Run Inn in Cedar Run, PA. Although the food there is really fabulous, the Inn itself is rather humble - kinda homey, country. But it's located in the north-central mountains of PA and when my dh and I go there (as we do at least a couple times a year, one of which being every October for the fall foliage) it's just this wonderful time of relaxation and refreshment. It's away from phone and TV and you can hike, or bike right out the door. It's our special place, romantic and just our "ahhhhhhhh" time. :)

Okay, I had to think about this. But my favorite place is Charlevoix, MI. My grandparents have a house on the lake up there and I just love the small city.
Love all the Basic Grey!! Hope you pick me ;)

if I had to pick a favorite spot
I would go with Philly because its hip and its hot
In the City of Brotherly Love, with our famous Philly cheese-steaks
there's history and shopping
and of course delicious cheesecakes
its a literal buffet for your senses - from china town to the "Olde city"
the fresh meats & cheese in the italian market are a site that I find so pretty.
The smells of tastycakes baking
can set your tummy a rumble
and you can always grab a fresh hot soft pretzel, to satiate that grumble.
You name the type of food, and you're sure to find it here
French at Le Bec Fin or O'Malley's for a Burger and Beer
So if you're ever in the area, or even if you're not
put Philadelphia on your travel agenda, its my all time favorite spot.

My favorite city (ok, it's too small to be a city) is Stavern in Norway - it's where our summerhouse is, and it was the place I got married about a year ago! :D

I really miss it now that we live in the US :(

My favourite city in the world would have to be London. I live near there and I just love love love it, and get very patriotic about it! Outside of England, it'd have to be New York. What an awesome city with lovely, friendly people!

Oooh ... too much Basic Grey? I didn't know there was such a thing! *wink*

My favorite place in the world is Paris. Even better when I get to go there with my Mom. There are all the obvious reasons, but there's just something about it ... so lovely and so filled with history!

Paper Source? Sounds like a place I have to google and stalk. But I so LOVED Tibet. Not a city, but think it falls into your country category. Got to go there and been reading about how they're making it harder for foreigners to go back and now I'm just reallyl diggin' that I got in "just in time".

Have fun! Off to find paper source!

My favorite place to be is New Orleans. For me, there was no other city quite like it. There's the obvious: the food, the music, the partying (Mardi Gras!), but that's not all there was. Everywhere you turned you were bombarded by sensation -- it's almost impossible to describe the feeling of being so much more alive there than anywhere else.

There's something majestic about the city, too. Sure, she a little bit older, but she's like one of those women who is more beautiful at 40 than she was at 20. The colors are softer, maybe a little bit faded, a little bit distressed around the edges, but that just adds to the beauty.

The French Quarter, the Streetcar, the mask shops and the Jackson Square artist. The Cathedral of Saint Louis. The Beignets & Chicory coffee!

Nothing in life stays the same forever. My husband and I were devastated when we first saw the news of Hurricane Katrina. We have dear friends who own a Bed & breakfast in New Orleans and we were frantic for days before we could get in touch with them. Only to find out that the wife (a nurse) had stayed behind in the city to help care for the patients in the hospital.

The first time we went back to the city it terribly painful. A tree has been blown through the side of our friends' B&B (also their home) and the damage was substantial.

There was something else, though, beneath all the damage and change. A sense of continuing on. While my elegant lady may be a little less polished than before -- maybe a few more creases in her gown, a few hairs straggling from her perfect coiffure -- underneath it all is the same grace, beauty and naughty bit of sparkle that has always been there for me.

While others talk about a decadent city decaying from the inside out, I know the truth. She's stronger than we ever thought she was, and her people will bring her back. And maybe, just maybe, she'll be even more beautiful than before.

Hands down...New Orleans, LA. I adore the culture, the architecture, the music, the food, the feeling I get when walking in the French Quarter. *sigh* I haven't been there since Katrina but I plan on making the drive soon.

OK, so I'm *kinda* jealous of everyone who has a favorite place in the world because I haven't traveled enough to have a fabulous favorite place. Soo...in my tiny little world, I would have to say that my favorite place is my porch swing on a cool summer's evening. I love sitting out there, swinging like a little kid with the breeze blowing my hair.

And I looove BG....so this is a rockin' RAK! :)
